Tonight's lesson wasn't something new. Rather, it was the reinforcement of a lesson I've been continually learning for a long time.

In an age of big data and myriad streams of external input, you can't overlook instinct. After all, instinct and survival are co-dependent beasts!

My instincts led me down a beautiful path, but recently those same instincts have been crying out, telling me I need to take the next exit.

It sucks, but if every crossroad we faced was a no-brainer, then there would be no challenge and therefore no growth.

Today I learned how thankful I am for my instincts, and the trust required to listen to them.

[Footnote: If this all sounds too self-servingly philosophical and narcissistic, then my instincts also tell me that you should go and eat a bag of dicks. This is my blog and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to.]
